《混亂之子》發生在一個虛構的加州小鎮（Charming）上，面對毒品販子和大型土地開發商的步步緊逼，一家黑白兩道皆有名望的非法摩托車俱樂部奮起反抗－－不僅要保護自己，也要保護小鎮的安寧。故事的主人公JaxTeller(CharlieHunnam扮演)正處在激烈的思想衝突中，一方面他深愛自己手下這幫兄弟，另一方面他也希望俱樂部徹底擺脫“非法”的陰影。其他的主要人物包括Jax天生威嚴的母親及擔任俱樂部主席的繼父。
