CADfix是針對至今還沒有解決的數據轉換的問題，它能自動轉換並重新利用原有的數據。它能發現模棱兩可、不一致、錯亂的幾何問題，工程師能看到問題的現象，並能通過CADfix進行修復。CADfix在可能的情況下支持全自動轉換的方式，在自動方式不能完全解決問題的情況下CADfix另外還提供交互式可視化的診斷和修復工具。這種方式和其他"暗盒"式的轉換器（PARASOLID-ACIS）或IGES和STEP形成鮮明對比，其他轉換器不能告訴使用工程師手頭上的數據有什麼問題，而CADfix卻可以。這樣能節省大量的時間和金錢。
CADfix提供給用戶分級式的自動、半自動工具，通過五級處理方式來處理模型數據，每一級處理既可以用用戶化的自動"嚮導"來處理，也可以用交互式工具來處理。當自動"嚮導"處理方式可行的話，CADfix還提供批處理方式的工具來處理大量的模型數據。
CADfix提供多種輸入輸出轉換格式：ACIS,Parasolid,IGES,STEP,STL,VDAFS,CATIA,CADDS5,ANSYS(report),Pro/EngineerPART,NXPART等等，為便於用戶使用，CADfix另外提供CAE模型工具、模型轉換工具、CAM應用工具。
