PlaylistGenerator.DJJukeboxgeneratesrandomlistsofsongswhichcanbedeliveredtoamediaplayersuchasWinamp.Eachsongcanberated(onascaleof0-100)toensurethatfavoritesarechosenmoreoften.Aratingof0willpreventthesongfrombeingplayedaltogether.

FileManagement
•DJJukeboxmaintainsalistofeachsonganditsratinginthe“SongTable”.Fromthistable,songscanbeeasilyrenamed,deleted,orrated.
•DJJukeboxcanrenameormoveanentiredirectory.TheSongTableisautomaticallyupdatedtoreflectthenewsonglocations.
•DJJukeboxcanalsoperformatextsearchandreplaceoperationontheSongTable.Again,thesongfilesareautomaticallyrenamedwhenachangeismade.

RemoteControl
•DJJukeboxcanlistenforcommandsfromanothercopyofDJJukeboxlocatedonalocalareanetwork(LAN).Programmablekeystrokescanbesenttotheserverwiththeclickofabutton,providingcompleteremotecontroloverthemediaplayer.
•Theremotecontrolfeaturecanbeusedbyadedicatedentertainmentserver.DJJukeboxcanstartautomaticallyduringbootupandbeginlisteningforremotecommands.Theserverdoesnotevenneedamonitor.

•DJJukeboxcaninsertcommercialsinbetweensongs.Thecommercialscanbeanytypeofmediafilethatthemediaplayersupports.Theaveragenumberofcommercialspersongcanbeadjusted,andindividualcommercialscanbeassignedafrequencyratingthatdetermineshowoftentheyarechosen.

RepetitionPrevention
•WhenDJJukeboxgeneratesaplaylist,itcanmakesurethatsongsdonotgetrepeatedtoooften.Itcanalsoensurethatnotwoconsecutivesongsarefromthesamealbumorartist,orhavethesamename.
