I was sent this box set by my brother who teaches languages to young children - he swears by these videos and I have to agree with him.
I have been showing them to my four month old for the last four weeks and she is completely mesmerised. They are a little bit cheesy and the original footage is American (a little like Sesame Street) but this hardly matters when you are a few weeks old! I can plonk my baby in front of them safe in the knowledge she will be educated and entertained for the next forty or so minutes. She even cries a little when the dvd stops to prompt me to press play again! - please dont be put off by the other review that mentions a baby used to describe the colour black - he is actually holding a black toy horse! - I can assure you these videos contain children from all cultures and colours and there are absolutely no racial overtones!
