Design
-Inthedesignenvironment,wehaveinvestedinenhancementstoallaspectsofmodeling,includingbothtraditionalmodelingandourConvergentModeling™software,andtocorefunctionality,suchasvisualizationanduserinteraction.
-Withtheincreaseduseof3Dannotationandmodel-baseddefinitionapproachestocommunicatedesignintent,wearepleasedtointroducenewcapabilitiesforcomparingPMIthatwillmakeiteasierforyoutotrackchangestotheannotationdefiningyourmodels.Inaddition,weareintroducinganewtechnicaldatapackage(TDP)solutionthatwillmakeiteasierforyoutoshareinformationwithbothcustomersandsuppliers,improvingcollaborationandsupplierexchangeofdata.
-Wehaveenhancedourembeddedvirtualreality(VR)applicationintroducedinNX12.0.2withnewtoolstogiveyougreaterlevelsofinteractionwithyourdesigns.UsingourembeddedVRtools,youcanbringthedigitaltwintolife.
Manufacturing
-NewsubtractiveandadditivemanufacturingcapabilitiesinNXwillenableyoutotransformthewayyoumakeparts.EnhancedCNCprogrammingautomation,newhigh-speedmachiningmethods,andadvancedroboticstoautomateproductionareaddedtohelpyoudeliverhigherqualitypartssignificantlyfaster.Improvementstoadditivemanufacturingarealsomadetohelpyousetupthebuildtrayanddesigncriticalsupportstructuresmoreeasily,andwithmorecontrolthaneverbefore.

-Simcenter3Disaunified,scalable,open,andextensibleenvironmentfor3Dsimulation.InthisreleaseofSimcenter3D,weintroducenew,cutting-edgesimulationcapabilities,strongerconnectionstothebroaderSimcenterportfolio,andanexpansionoftheintegratedmultidisciplinaryenvironmenttocoveranextendedsimulationsolutionfootprint.Highlightsincludenewandenhancedsimulationsolutionsforgenerativedesignandthesimulationoftheadditivemanufacturingprocess—makingSimcenter3Dcapableofsimulatingtomorrow'sengineeringandmanufacturingprocessestoday.Additionally,Simcenter3D’ssimulationfootprinthasbeenextendedtocovernewsolutionsliketransmissionsimulation,whichcanreduceoveralltransmissionsimulationprocesstimeby80%.ThisreleasealsoincludesnewtiestothedigitalthreadthroughsynergiesbetweenSimcenter3DandthebroaderSimcenterportfolio,suchasSTAR-CCM+,foraero-acousticandaero-vibro-acousticsanalysis.WithaddedenhancementsthatbuildonthenewConvergentModeling™capabilitiesinNX,you'llalsobeabletoperformdirectmeshingofconvergentbodiestostreamlinetheprocessofanalyzingscannedoroptimizeddata.Overall,Simcenter3Dhelpsengineersdriveinnovationandreducestheeffort,cost,andtimeneededtopredictproductperformance.
