Thankstoaverycleanandeasytonavigateinterface,TransMacisdesignedtoallowuserstransferfilestoandfromHFS(MacOSStandard)andHFS+/HFSX(MacOSExtendedandcasesensitive)disks.TheapplicationautomaticallydetectstheMacintoshdisks,regardlessiftheyareregularharddrives,CDs,DVDsorremovabledrives.Ofcourse,itallowsusersperformanumberofactions,includingreadingandwritingdata,butalsocopy,renameanddeletefilesandfolderjustlikeonaregulardisk.

Additionally,TransMaccomeswithdedicatedfeaturestohelpusersformatanydisktobelateraccessedfromMacOSX,butalsoburnimagesinvariousformats,includingDMG,IMGandISO.Lastbutnotleast,itsportsacomprehensivesearchtooltosearchforvirtuallyanytypeoffile,butalsoforextensionsandothertypeofdatathatmaybestoredontheMacintoshharddisks.

Therearethreedifferentsettingsmenus,“General”,“PC”and“Mac”,soyoucanevenconfigurethewayyouaccessMac-formatteddisks.Forinstance,TransMacsupportsread-onlyaccessbut,incaseyouwishtobenefitfromallitsfeatures,youneedtoenableread/writeaccess.TransMacworksflawlesslyanditdoesn'taffectcomputerperformanceatall,leavingjustaminimalfootprintonhardwareresources.Windows7usershoweverneedadministratorprivilegestoenableallfeaturesoftheapp.
