Adobe公司剛剛宣佈將Flash Builder更名為Adobe Animate CC，加入對HTML5的支持，幫助開發人員創建更多Flash網站，廣告和動畫電影。經過20多年發展，Adobe Flash Professional應用程序現在開始邁向HTML 5新時代。幾年前，Adobe將大部分Flash事業部員工轉移到新的部門來開發HTML5，CSS3和SVG等等。
現在，Adobe公司宣佈，Flash Professional未來版本會採用嶄新的名字 – Animate CC，為通過HTML5和SVG產生動畫效果提供了另一種選擇。Animate CC 將繼續支持Flash SWF文件，但是目前已經沒有人使用Flash來製作網站。Flash唯一保持生命力的地方是在線廣告，其中基於Flash的動畫廣告仍然無所不在。但是，自從推出HTML5之後，Flash音頻和視頻源數量已經顯著下降。
