The Ansys product team is pleased to announce the availability of Ansys Discovery Live 2019 R1, is the first ever simulation environment that provides real-time answers to engineering challenges. It lets you interactively change geometry, physics inputs, and results display all while instantly visualizing design performance.
About ANSYS Discovery Live. The instant, interactive simulation environment of ANSYS Discovery Live allows engineers — at all levels and in every discipline — to explore their concepts and designs. Dramatically easier to use than other simulation tools, Discovery Live performs simulation in near real-time.
- Interactive Geometry
Engineers no longer need to wait for geometry modification, re-meshing and resolving. Discovery Live begins re-computing results immediately, without a need to start over.
- Interactive Physics
Gain immediate insight when a load is suddenly increased, a material is changed or an input velocity drops to zero. Set up multiple physics on the same model and eliminate unnecessary geometry preparation.
- Interactive Results
As quickly as you generate questions, Discovery Live has answers ready for viewing. ANSYS Discovery Live Graphics Requirements
ANSYS Discovery Live relies on the latest GPU CUDA technology (9.1 or later) to provide its computation and visual experience. To run the software, you will require:
A dedicated NVIDIA GPU card (Quadro recommended) based on the Kepler, Maxwell or Pascal architecture with CUDA 9.1 (or later) drivers. Maxwell 2000 or better strongly recommended. Most dedicated NVIDIA GPU cards produced in 2013 or later will be based on one of these architectures. At least 4GB of video RAM (8GB preferred) on the GPU.
