在美國Hooked on PhonicsLearn to read是一套被很多幼稚園採用和老師推薦的自然發音教材，曾榮獲”1998國際家庭中心認可最佳教育教材獎”和”2001 學校課程管理雜誌最佳100學校教材獎” ，這套由教育專家設計，從認識AZ的英文字母和發音規則，進而由組合發音讀出英文單字，循序漸進內容，讓小朋友最後可以獨立閱讀。因為每個小朋友的學習方式不同，所以透過閃字卡、光碟、CD、和學習遊戲活動，來增加小朋友學習的興趣。此外，還有超過75個由許多得獎過的作家及插畫家寫的有趣故事來配合課程內容，讓小朋友藉由不斷的反覆練習，進而達到獨立閱讀的能力.
什麼是自然發音法?
自然發音法是一種英文學習的的方法，讓小朋友看到英文單字就能讀出整個單字的發音或讓小朋友聽到英文單字的發音就能拼出英文字母，在美國的幼兒教育中也廣泛被採用，因為自然發音法能顯著提升小朋友英語的聽說及閱讀能力，一般在學齡前教育和幼稚園教育開始實施，許多學術研究結果也顯示自然發音法對小朋友的閱讀能力非常有幫助。
自然發音法著重在英文字母與其發音的關係，小朋友先從熟悉每一個英文字母的發音規則開始，因為英文單字都是由英文字母不同的排列組合而成，小朋友將每個字母連串發音出來就可以完整讀出英文單字，隨著重覆這種字母組合發音練習，對於長的英文單字及文章的閱讀就變成容易多了。

I am a first grade teacher and my 14 month old daughter loves to read (thank goodness!) I checked these DVD's out at the library and she loved them! I don't let her watch much tv except for an occassional Seasame Street for 5 minutes. I love that the programs have music, signs, words to go with the pictures, etc and I believe are very educational. I had tried the Baby Einstein and neither of us were too excited by them. These DVD's get my daugher dancing, signing and laughing along and you can tell she is learning from them. I also like that there isn't too much going on at once so that she can follow along. A must have, especially to encourage early reading skills. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

My son just loves all the 3 DVDs...He keeps watching them over and over and over again and never gets bored :). I would definitely recommend this product as it helps babies/toddlers grasp the language and the English accent very quickly. Help other customers find the most helpful reviews

I was expecting something boring and repetitive. Boy was I wrong. This thing is SUPER ENTERTAINING. After watching it twice my son is already trying to repeat what they are saying. 5 stars is simply not enough

I also thought this would be very boring and school like but
my Grandson really enjoys the DVD's and is also singing to
the songs now! I also put one in the car so when were out
and about he can watch one of the DVD's.
Hooked on Phonics-learn to read CD-ROM
就是版本有點老是2001年的，不過我只找到了這個。
這個是遊戲所覆蓋知識面。主要是元音字母的短音。
第一關：狐狸先生（是狐狸吧？？）會說出某一個大寫字母發的音，玩遊戲的人用小星星來點上面的字母。
第二關：同第一關相似只不過是改成小寫字母了。這兩關有點悶，不過沉住氣，後面會有趣點。
第三關：看到上面的fat那個詞了嗎？三個老鼠輪流說出一個詞，聽到哪隻老鼠說出fat這個詞就點它。
第四關：狐狸先生開party，只有和他白板上的兩個單詞具有相同發音---at的老鼠才能進他家。
第五關：根據狐狸先生的發音將Sag這個單詞的第一個字母用下面的備用字母替換。
我只玩到這裡，剩下的大家去開發吧。不過還是需要家長能有點英語基礎的。
當你結束遊戲退出之前，遊戲中會把你所練過的單詞重新復習一遍。
